Jared Michael Lowe is a writer, digital storyteller, creative consultant and an outstanding voice on the topics of culture, people of color, sexuality, gender and race. From 2010 to 2016, he was the founding editor of LoweFactor.com, a digital curatorial experience for the savvy urbane millennial, which won numerous awards and received citations from The New York Post, ESSENCE and Okayplayer. His reporting and commentary on fashion, culture and racial politics have appeared in outlets including NBC News, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Ebony, The Huffington Post, Essence, among others.

In various capacities, he has worked as a journalist, social media editor, creative producer, communications strategist and cultural arts administrator for a host of media, entertainment, academia and arts and culture organizations. He’s managed projects from editorial and digital strategy to large-scale events and high concept creative projects for BET, Courvoisier, Hearst Magazines, Visit Philadelphia, The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and WHYY. A highly sought after thought leader and public speaker, he has given talks and moderated panels on community writing, journalism practices, social media and digital marketing tactics at Princeton University, The University of Pennsylvania, CBS Philly and during Philly Tech Week.

Lowe holds a Master’s of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication Studies from Kutztown University. He lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his partner, Elliot.
